In the other 49 cases of anaphylaxis, 39 cases of severe disease, and 36 cases of death, a causal relationship with vaccination was not recognized.
Of the 36 deaths, 34 newly reported cases ranged from 21 to 103 years old, and 27 of them had underlying diseases such as high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and ischemic heart disease.
The types of vaccine they received were 14 AstraZeneca (AZ), 14 Pfizer, 3 Moderna, 2 Janssen, and 1 cross-vaccination.
The damage investigation team comprehensively reviewed the effects of underlying diseases and vaccinations, and concluded that it was difficult to recognize causality with vaccinations for all 36 newly reported or re-examined deaths.
So far, the damage investigation team has reviewed a total of 2,263 cases, including 632 deaths, 852 severe cases, and 779 anaphylaxis cases.
Of these, only 276 cases of death (thrombocytopenic thrombosis, acute myocarditis), 5 cases of severe disease, and 269 cases of anaphylaxis were recognized for causality.
