A whirlpool cloud is moving northward off the northeast coast of Taiwan.

This is the 14th typhoon Chantu.

Although slightly weaker than yesterday, it is still a strong typhoon with strong winds of 40 m/s and 144 km/h.

The typhoon will move north to Shanghai, China tonight, stay near Shanghai until the day after tomorrow, and then sharply turn to the right, and on the morning of Friday, the 17th, it is expected to rise to the sea about 40 km northwest of Jeju.

After that, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicted that it would continue to pass through the South Sea and escape into the Korea Strait.

As the typhoon moves north, a typhoon advisory has been issued for the far seas south of Jeju Island, and it is raining heavily on Jeju Island.

This is because rain clouds are developing explosively in the front of the typhoon.

Up to 500mm of heavy rain is expected on Jeju Island until the day after Wednesday.

On Thursday and Friday, when the typhoon approaches the southern coast, it will rain in most parts of the country, and strong winds and heavy rain may come especially in the southern regions.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that strong winds and strong waves are expected in the sea for the time being, and urged people to prepare so that there is no damage.
