As the spread of COVID-19 in Korea continues, the number of new confirmed cases today (13th) was in the low 1,400 range.

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters (Bangdaebon) announced that as of 00:00 today, there were 1,433 new confirmed cases, bringing the total to 274,415.

It fell 322 people from yesterday (1,755 people) and fell below 1,500 people for the first time in a week since the 6th (1,375 people).

This is due to the effect of a sharp decrease in the number of holiday tests, and it is too early to judge that the number of confirmed cases has returned to a declining trend.

If you look at the pattern of weekly cases, the number of confirmed cases decreased until the beginning of the week after weekends and holidays, and then increased rapidly from Wednesday, the starting point in the middle.

From the second week of August to the last 6 weeks, the number of confirmed cases on Sundays (as of 00:00 on Monday of the announcement date) was 1,491 → 1,555 → 1,417 → 1,485 → 1,375 → 1,433 , and it fluctuated between 1,300 and 1,500.

If you look at the route of infection of today's new confirmed cases, 1,409 cases were local and 24 were imported.

The 4th pandemic, which started in the metropolitan area in early July, has continued for more than two months and shows no sign of ending.

The number of confirmed cases per day has been recording four digits for 69 days in a row since July 7 (1,211 people).

In particular, in the metropolitan area, where the epidemic seemed to be gradually fading, the spread has intensified again, and the number of confirmed cases in the 1,000 range is pouring in every day, and the proportion of the total regional outbreaks is also greatly exceeding 70%.

From the 7th to today, if you look at the new confirmed cases in the past week, 1,597 → 2,48 → 2,49 → 1,892 → 1,865 → 1,755 → 1,433 by day At least 1,400 people came out every day, and at most 2,000 people came and went.
