As the spread of COVID-19 in Korea continues, the number of new confirmed cases soared to 2,000 again today (8th).

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters (Bangdaebon) announced that as of 00:00 today, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 2,050 to a cumulative total of 265,423.

The number increased by 453 from yesterday (1,597 people) and rose to the 2,000 level again within a week after the 1st (2,024 people).

This is the 6th record of 2,000 people since the Corona 19 crisis in Korea.

Due to the decrease in the number of weekend and holiday tests, the number of confirmed cases remained low until the beginning of the week, but the weekly pattern continued this week, where it rapidly increased from Wednesday, the starting point in the middle.

If you look at the route of infection of today's new confirmed cases, 2,014 local cases and 36 imported cases are from overseas.

The 4th pandemic, which started in the metropolitan area in early July, has been going on for over two months.

The number of daily confirmed cases has been recording four digits for 64 days in a row since July 7 (1,211), when the first 1,000 people were confirmed.

In particular, in the metropolitan area, where the spread of the virus has been stagnant for a while, the number of confirmed cases in the 1,000 range is pouring in every day, showing an increase again.

From the 2nd to today, if you look at the new confirmed cases in the last week, 1,961 → 1,708 → 1,804 → 1,490 → 1,375 → 1,597 → 2,050 by day At least 1,300 people came out every day, and at most 2,000 people came and went.
