The second search term for clicking is 'Baekgu', an honorary rescue dog.

Baekgu, a dog who helped rescue the missing grandmother for two days, was appointed as an honorary rescue dog.

Baekgu is the dog of a 93-year-old grandmother living in Hongseong, Chungcheongnam-do.

An elderly woman suffering from dementia left the house alone at dawn on the 25th of last month when it was raining and collapsed in the water on the paddy field.

The police started a search, but the grandmother was hit by the rain, and her body temperature dropped and the drone's thermal imaging camera did not detect biosignals properly. Grandma was able to return to her family safely.

The grandmother, who received treatment at the hospital, is now said to have recovered.

Baek Goo, who became the first honorary rescue dog in Korea for his contribution to saving his grandmother, is given the rank of a firefighter equivalent to a grade 8 civil servant, and a dog house, nameplate, fodder, and flowers are delivered.

Netizens commented, “Baekgu, who shared his body temperature…

It has enough qualifications as an honorary rescue dog!” and “Baekgu’s heart, who kept his owner’s side until the end, is heartbreaking.”
