“After we launched work within the framework of the Challenge project with Channel One, we have about 3 thousand questionnaires from girls who would also like to carry out a space flight.

We count on the fact that this, next year we will sharply replenish the cosmonaut corps with girls, ”Rogozin was quoted as saying by TASS.

He noted that "training methods allow women to fully withstand stress, tests and conduct complex experiments on board the station on an equal basis with men."

Earlier it was reported that Rogozin had a working meeting with the general director of the Tunisian company Telnet Holding, Mohammed Friha, in Moscow, with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Tunisian Republic to the Russian Federation Tarak bin Salem. During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for Russian-Tunisian cooperation in the field of manned space flights, in particular, the intentions of the Tunisian side to train and launch a woman cosmonaut into space.
