news of a settlement was announced at 2 am today, five hours before the strike started, as both sides reached an agreement on five major issues, the union withdrew the strike.

First of all, both sides agreed to expand health and medical personnel and improve treatment in a broad framework. I did.



We have decided to prepare standards for the placement of working nurses by the severity of COVID-19 by the end of this month, and to support various allowances such as life safety allowance and night care fee from next year.



We decided to reduce the number of patients cared for by one nurse, and we decided to set a standard and implement it two years later.



When the number of health and medical personnel is expanded and working conditions are improved, the quality of patient care services also improves.



Expansion of public hospitals across the country and establishment of infection hospitals by region is expected to take some time as it requires consultation with local governments and doctors' groups.



There are many agreements that require revision of laws, securing budgets, and consultation with related ministries.



As the health and medical union removed the strike card, the medical vacuum that was feared amid the spread of Corona was avoided.



However, labor unions at Korea University, Hanyang University, Chonnam University, and Pusan ​​National University hospitals started individual strikes demanding wage increases and improved treatment.
