A high school student was shot in an accident during shooting training at a shooting range in Seoul.

The student was taken to the hospital and is undergoing surgery, fortunately, it is said that there is no life-threatening injury.

Today (28th) around 12:40 pm, at the Taereung International Shooting Range in Nowon-gu, Seoul, a 16-year-old high school athlete, Mo Kim, was shot.



Kim was hit in the left chest area by a caliber 22 gunpowder pistol fired by another high school player in the direction of the target.




Kim was taken to the hospital and is undergoing surgery, but it is said that his life is not affected.



Police secured a statement that Kim went behind the target while about 20 high school students were training to shoot 25 meters.

It is known that there was no safety manager at the accident site, and there were three leaders, including a coach.



The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, including whether safety regulations were complied with.
