Among the new confirmed cases, a total of 1,829 people were infected in Korea.
By region, 1,168 people were infected in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon alone.
There were 661 confirmed cases in non-metropolitan areas, including 93 in Daegu and 91 in Chungnam.
The number of imported cases from overseas was tentatively counted at 53.

Meanwhile, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said that 370,000 people received the COVID-19 vaccine a day yesterday, and about 27.07 million people have completed the first dose so far.
Among them, 13.35 million people were vaccinated, which is 26% of the total population.
Vaccinations are expected to accelerate from today.
Of the 15 million 18-49 year olds, 11 million who have pre-booked will be vaccinated today.
They will receive one of the mRNA-based Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and those who have booked the vaccine for four days from today to the 29th will receive the Pfizer vaccine.
