A man in his 50s has been sentenced to prison for habitually violent acts, such as making a riot to call his wife whom he broke up with 30 years ago.

The 6th Criminal Division of Ulsan District Court (Judge Kim Do-young) announced today (24th) that 58-year-old A, who was charged with assault, injury, and violation of the Emergency Medical Act, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.

In February 2020, at a hospital in Nam-gu, Ulsan, Mr. A asked a nurse to "call his wife, who was divorced 30 years ago," and was charged with swearing and rioting for 20 minutes when the nurse refused.

At another hospital, it was found that the hospital administration department also made a fuss with abusive language saying "the cleaning condition is poor", and that a female civil servant in her 40s forcibly pulled the civil service card around her neck.

The court ruled, "The accused was sentenced to 10 months in prison for injury, etc.

He said, "The reason for the sentencing was based on the fact that there were a large number of victims and there was no agreement, and that there were several crimes of the same type."
