Rain clouds continue to approach in the west sea, and typhoon 'Omais' is moving north in the northwest sea of ​​Okinawa, Japan.




Typhoon Ohmais will pass the western sea of ​​Jeju Island at about 9 pm tonight and make landfall on the southern coast near Goheung, Jeollanam-do at around midnight, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicts.



The current small typhoon 'Ohmais' is highly likely to transform into a temperate cyclone after landing.



Until tomorrow, localized heavy rain of 100 to 300 mm is expected in Jeju and southern regions, and up to 400 mm in the southern coast and mountainous areas of Jeju Island.



In the central region away from the course of the typhoon, it will rain as much as 150-200mm.



In particular, strong winds exceeding 30 m/s and 100 km/h are expected to strike in Jeju Island and the southern regions.



The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) urged thorough preparation, saying that it is expected that the typhoon will be at its peak between tonight and tomorrow morning, when the typhoon passes through the southern provinces.
