Heavy rain accompanied by gusts of wind and thunder and lightning is pouring all over the country, centering on Jeju and the southern part of the country.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security raised the heavy rain crisis warning from 'Caution' to 'Warning' as of 11:50 am on the 21st today (21st), and raised the emergency duty of the central headquarters from stage 1 to stage 2.

The crisis alert level goes up in the order of interest-caution-vigilance-serious, and the emergency response level of the major script goes up in the order of 1 to 3.

The second stage of emergency response is activated when heavy rain warnings are announced in 4 or more cities and provinces and there is a possibility that severe local damage may occur.

The rain started this morning in Jeju Island and the southern coast area and has expanded to the whole country.

Heavy rain warnings are currently in effect for Busan, Incheon, Jeju Island, and parts of Gyeongnam, Jeollanam-do, and Gyeonggi-do.

A heavy rain warning has been issued for the mountainous areas of Jeju and Chuja Island, and a heavy rain advisory has been issued for other areas.

As of 1:20 p.m., a heavy rain advisory and a strong wind advisory have been issued for the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and a storm advisory is in effect in the far seas outside the southern part of Jeju Island and the far seas in the southwest part of the island.

Strong winds of 10 to 16 m/s and instantaneous winds of 20 m/s or more are blowing in mountainous areas and Chuja Island.

In Chuja Island and mountainous areas, it is raining very strong at 20-40 mm per hour accompanied by thunder and lightning, and in other areas it is raining at around 10 mm per hour, so there is a large regional variation in precipitation.

The estimated precipitation in Jeju until tomorrow is 100 to 300 mm, and in some areas centered on mountainous areas, it is expected that there will be places where it will rain 400 mm or more.

While a heavy rain advisory was issued for most of Gyeongnam, the city of Gimhae temporarily suspended the operation of the temporary Corona 19 screening test station installed at the Jinyeong Public Stadium this afternoon.

Up to 52 mm of rain per hour fell on Dorasan, Paju, while a heavy rain warning was in effect across northern Gyeonggi Province.

According to the Metropolitan Meteorological Administration, the daily precipitation for each region as of 1pm today was 79.5 mm in Dorasan, Paju, 61.5 mm in Goyang, and 42 mm in Uijeongbu.

As the low pressure moves northeast, it is predicted that there will be places with strong rain of 30-50 mm per hour in the metropolitan area until this afternoon.

In Incheon, it rained from about 8 am today, and as of 1 pm, Ongjin-gun Deokjeok Island recorded 109 mm of rainfall, Jangbong Island 94 mm, and Jung-gu Wangsan 94 mm.

There were no casualties due to strong winds and heavy rain, but there were reports of flooding due to heavy rain at one time.

As of 1:00 pm today, the fire department received about 10 reports of flood damage, mainly in Ganghwa-gun and Yeongjong-do, and started to support drainage.

The Metropolitan Meteorological Administration has urged people to be careful with facility management as the rain is expected to gradually weaken from the afternoon, and the strong wind advisory that has been in effect throughout Incheon will be maintained.

In addition, the Meteorological Agency predicted that there will be many places with very strong winds and gusts in the metropolitan area until this evening, when the low pressure passes.

As of 1pm, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Paju, and a heavy rain advisory has been issued for nine cities and counties in northern Gyeonggi, except for Paju.

In accordance with the operation of the second stage of emergency, the Central Headquarters actively conducts temporary evacuation of residents in areas prone to collapse, such as landslides and steep slopes, and in areas prone to flooding in low-lying areas along the coast. We urged the relevant ministries and local governments.

In addition, through various media such as village broadcasting, we requested to strengthen the guidance to refrain from outdoor activities and beware of landslides and rapid river currents.
