Okryugwan is a representative restaurant in North Korea famous for Pyongyang cold noodles.

A plan to open Korea's first Okryugwan branch in Daejeon is underway.

The Asia-Pacific Peace Exchange Council, a private organization, announced that it is preparing to open the Pyongyang Okryu-gwan in Daejeon as part of an exchange and cooperation project with a non-governmental organization related to the North.

He also said that the interior will be done in the same way as the Pyongyang store, and that preparations will begin this year and the store will open next year.

In addition to naengmyeon, Daedonggang beer, North Korean coffee, and daily necessities are also planned to be displayed and sold, but it is unclear whether such a plan will be realized.

This is because if the operating profit of the Okryugwan South Korean branch goes to North Korea, it will directly conflict with UN sanctions against North Korea. .

Only 'non-commercial and non-profit public infrastructure projects' are considered as exceptions, but it is pointed out that it is difficult to see the Okryugwan business as a public infrastructure project.
