Kwon Dae-hee, who was undergoing facial contouring surgery, suddenly bleeds from her face.

Excessive bleeding to the point where the floor of the operating room is dry.

The hospital director, who was operating on several patients at the same time, left the operating room with hemostasis, and the nurse's assistant remained alone

and tried to stop the bleeding, but it was unsuccessful.

In 2016, in this case at a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, Seoul, the director of the hospital, the anesthesiologist, and another doctor and a nursing assistant who performed the operation while Kwon's mother secured and released CCTV footage of the operating room were handed over to trial.

The Seoul Central District Court's first trial court sentenced the director, Jang Mo, to three years in prison and a fine of 5 million won for negligent manslaughter.

The court ruled that Jang missed the golden time to save Kwon because he was running the so-called 'factory-style surgery line', and that resulted in a serious result of Kwon's death.

Two other doctors who participated in the operation were sentenced to imprisonment and fines.

However, the court did not admit the charge of violating the Medical Law by the director, who wrote the medical records falsely.

After the sentencing, Kwon's mother strongly criticized the three-year prison sentence as unacceptable, saying it was a bizarre decision.

He expressed his intention to appeal immediately, and also expressed his intention to request a change of the indictment on charges of injury or death or murder.

[Lee Na-geum / late Kwon Dae-hee's mother: There are three charges. Since there are three, three years is not a lot. It's so shocking, really. I never imagined it would turn out like this.]

In the wake of Kwon's death, a bill to amend the Medical Act to obligate the installation of CCTV in operating rooms was proposed, but the opposition and opposition are divided, and he remains in the second lieutenant of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
