Today (17th) around 6 pm in an apartment in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, a fire broke out, and firefighting work has been going on for nearly two hours.

The Yangcheon Fire Department said that a large number of firefighters were put in to put out the fire that started in the substation underground of the apartment.

There have been no reports of casualties reported by the fire department so far.

However, a lot of smoke was spewing out from the basement, and hundreds of residents living in nearby dongs were evacuated.

In addition, there is a problem with the operation of the substation where electricity flows, and the supply of electricity to many households is cut off, which is inconvenient.

In a call with SBS, the informant who lives in the dong where the fire broke out said, "There is no notice to evacuate, so we are waiting."

After the fire is extinguished, the fire department plans to investigate the exact cause of the fire.
