It was confirmed yesterday (15th) that the police, who are investigating former Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi's real estate-related allegations, summoned one of Kim's family members for investigation.

An official from the Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency said, "Among the accused, one out of three members of the family of former Minister Kim, who is a party to the name of the land, has been investigated."

The family of former Minister Kim, who was accused of the allegation, is her husband and Kim's two younger brothers.

The police explained, "We are coordinating the summoning schedule for the remaining two people, and we will decide whether to summon Kim after completing the investigation."

In June, the civic group 'Judicial Exam Preparation Students' filed a accusation against former Minister Kim on charges of violating the Farmland Act and Real Name Real Estate Act.

Previously, former Minister Kim purchased 2,480 square meters of farmland and built a house in Jangnam-myeon, Yeoncheon-gun, in 2012, but suspicions were raised that he did not actually do farming.

The house belonged to Kim's husband, but was sold to Kim's younger brother in 2018.

It was then sold back to Kim's younger sister in 2020.

Former Minister Kim asserted, "The house was used by my husband, and the farming was done normally, and the disposition process was normal for my brother."
