By region, there were 1,146 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area alone, including 510 in Seoul, and 714 in non-metropolitan areas, including 150 in Busan.

The number of confirmed cases in non-metropolitan areas, from 105 on the 1st of last month, has tripled in 40 days.



In the metropolitan area, the number of confirmed cases in one day has greatly exceeded 1,000 for four days in a row.



While the number of patients in critical condition increased by 17 to 386 from the previous day, it was also an emergency to secure a bed.



The government has issued an administrative order to hospitals in the metropolitan area and decided to secure an additional 760 beds within the next two weeks.
