Today (14th), the first day of the Liberation Day holiday, the police started to block protests in downtown Seoul.



The police are blocking the entry of protesters by installing barriers and safety fences around Gwanghwamun and temporary checkpoints in 81 places, including the Seoul entrance road and the Han River Bridge.



Some conservative groups tried to hold a protest against the current government for promoting a walking movement in downtown Seoul from the morning, but they were blocked by the police.



The Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) has foretold the metropolitan area meeting in the form of a one-man demonstration in downtown Seoul at 4 pm.



The police took strict action against illegal one-man protests, including the 'one-man walking movement'.
