The reason the couple committed such abuse was the absurd reason that their nephew could not urinate well and was possessed by a ghost.
The court of first instance sentenced aunt A and aunt B to 30 years in prison and 12 years in prison, respectively.
The aunt and his wife claimed that there was no intent to kill, but the court upheld the murder.
It is said that the child's body deteriorated significantly due to continuous abuse, and he was even killed by severe water torture.
The court explained that it was difficult to imagine the pain and fear that the victim must have felt right up to the moment of death, and the method of committing the crime was also cruel.
The aunt and the couple, who took care of their nephew at the request of their mother who had difficulty raising them, continued to abuse their nephew from the end of last year.
The mother, who also bought abuse tools and delivered them to her older sister, will also face trial next week on charges of aiding and neglecting child abuse.
