General Military Court of the Army Ground Operations Command sentenced Seungri to three years in prison and a fine of 1.15 billion won for singer Seungri, who was charged with prostitution brokerage and habitual gambling.

First, the court ruled, "The defendant arranged prostitution for foreign investors, and the profit from the sex service is not small, so severe punishment is necessary."

He also admitted that Seungri gambled several times in Las Vegas and other places, spent 2.2 billion won and borrowed 1 million dollars worth of gambling chips, but did not report it.

All nine charges charged by the military prosecutors, including these charges, were found guilty.

Seungri's side denied most of the allegations, arguing that "there was no motive for mediating prostitution," but the court did not accept it.

Immediately after the sentencing, Seungri was detained in the 55th division military police unconvicted prison cell.

If Seungri gives up the appeal and the sentence is confirmed, he is forcibly discharged and transferred to a private prison.
