It is noted that “during the event, the parties outlined the importance of creating the necessary regulatory legal framework for bilateral cooperation in the space sector and discussed issues of interaction in the following promising areas: using the capabilities of the Russian Earth remote sensing orbital group for scientific and socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan; use of optical means of observation of the Gissar Astronomical Observatory and the Sangloh Astronomical Observatory of the Institute of Astrophysics of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, etc. "
The state corporation reported that "following the meeting, the parties expressed their conviction of the need and importance of further strengthening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of space activities within the framework of the Interstate Council on Space of the CIS member states."
"The agreements reached during the meeting will be an important step in expanding Russian-Tajik cooperation and will comprehensively contribute to the development of mutually beneficial partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan in strategically important sectors," added Roscosmos.
