Many people have had to leave their hometowns due to the forced migration policy. Reporter Im Sang-beom covered how Korea is now dealing with Goryeoin independence activists and their descendants.

There are the Sinheung Military Academy and the home of General Kim Gyeong-cheon, the hero of the anti-Japanese armed struggle who led the Goryeo Revolutionary Army.



General Kim, who had made a name for himself as a general on a white horse, was falsely accused of being a Japanese spy and died in a concentration camp in 1942.



The lottery ticket was issued, but the whereabouts of the remains are unknown.

Sophia, who returned permanently from Uzbekistan in 2018, is the grandson of sergeant Hou Ho, who was sentenced to death in the former Seodaemun Prison.



Although we are not in a good position, we regard our Korean citizenship as heirloom.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the number of Koreans living in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia, who chose to go to Korea due to discrimination and economic difficulties, has been increasing rapidly since 2010.



There are 100,000 Koreans living in various parts of the country, but most of them live as low-wage simple workers because they do not speak Korean and have no skills.



Many of them are staying on a visiting work visa or visiting cohabitation visa like foreign workers, but acquiring nationality is like picking a star in the sky, so there are many blind spots in welfare such as medical care and education.

Liberation Day has come again. The Goryeo people returned after 160 years of long wandering, but still live the lives of strangers. 



He says that what is harder to bear than the hardships of everyday life is the indifference and coldness of neighbors, who are of the same bloodline.
