Professor Kyung-shim Jeong has consistently denied the allegations of corruption in the entrance examination even in the second trial.

In particular, regarding the internship certificate of the Seoul National University Public Interest and Human Rights Law Center submitted for the college entrance exam for his daughter Jo Min, it was emphasized that Cho's alumni, who had never seen Cho at a seminar at Seoul National University, changed some statements afterward.

He also claimed his innocence, saying that the evidence presented by the prosecution was contaminated with regard to the Dongyang University citation used for his daughter Cho's medical school entrance exam.

However, the second trial court did not accept all of these arguments of Mr. Jung.

He said that there is no need to judge whether the daughter attended the seminar, etc., as it was judged that the so-called '7 major specifications', such as citations and intern confirmations used by Professor Jung's daughter for the entrance exam, were false.

The successive court decisions of the first and second trial, which acknowledged Professor Jung's allegations of corruption in the entrance exam, could also affect the trial of her husband, former Minister Cho Kuk.

Former Minister Cho is also being tried separately as an accomplice for forging his daughter's Seoul National University and Busan hotel internship certificates.

Although the Supreme Court's decision remains as Prof. Jeong's decision to appeal, the schools from which the daughter graduated immediately began to follow up.

Korea University announced that it would take follow-up measures after reviewing the verdict, and Pusan National University also announced that it would hold a meeting of the Admissions Process Management Committee on the 18th and report its decision on the daughter's medical school entrance exam to the university headquarters.
