woman in her 20s who received the Moderna vaccine died a few days ago. The medical staff confirmed that the patient had symptoms of thrombosis before he died and asked the health authorities to test it, but the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not accept this.

A woman in her 20s living on Jeju Island received the Moderna residual vaccine on the 26th of last month.

Five days after the inoculation, symptoms of thrombosis developed and he underwent emergency surgery, but he died on the 7th.

Before the woman died, the medical staff reported it as a serious adverse reaction, and through the competent health authorities, asked the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to test for thrombocytopenic thrombosis, a side effect of the vaccine, not general thrombosis.

Thrombocytopenic thrombosis is a rare side effect mainly seen in adenovirus vaccines such as AstraZeneca and Janssen.

However, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not accept the request for testing.

claimed that his platelet count was also higher than the test standard when he first visited the hospital.

However, as additional inquiries from SBS continued, an official from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention replied, "It is true that the platelet count has fallen further below the standard after visiting the hospital."

In the United States, there have been reports of deaths from thrombocytopenic thrombosis after vaccination with Moderna.

Health officials said they would conduct a causal assessment between vaccination and death as soon as an in-depth epidemiological investigation of the deceased woman is completed.
