The driver was seriously injured and taken to the hospital, and the police are investigating whether there was a problem with the ready-mixed concrete vehicle.

Today around 12:10 pm, a road in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.



Pedestrians are crossing the crosswalk, and suddenly a ready-mixed concrete vehicle races dangerously among the people.



The ready-mixed concrete vehicle collides with a tree along the roadside, then quickly turns and rushes into the opposite lane.



Then, while running another 50 meters, I hit a utility pole.

ready-mixed concrete with the driver's seat severely dented even caused a fire and was extinguished within 40 minutes.




The driver, rescued by firefighters, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.



Debris from the impact of the accident remains at the site.



Restoration of fallen trees and utility poles is also underway.



Due to the impact of the accident, there was a temporary power outage around the accident area, and KEPCO stopped the electricity supply to about 40 nearby households for several hours to restore utility poles.



The police are investigating the cause of the accident by securing a video of a ready-mixed concrete vehicle driving down the road with its emergency lights turned on, and focusing on the possibility of vehicle defects such as brake rupture.
