The victim is 26 years old and of Hungarian nationality.

A suspect, who could be his companion, was arrested and then hospitalized automatically, said the same source.

Hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital

According to the first elements of the investigation, the alert was given around 1:30 p.m. by "a father who warned the gendarmerie that his 31-year-old son, suffering from schizophrenia, was walking in the streets of Gréoux-les- Bains taking delusional comments, "detailed the Digne-les-Bains prosecutor's office.

The father then went to his son's apartment where he discovered the young woman's body.
