Negotiations for introducing a COVID-19 vaccine for next year are known to be in the final stages.

At a regular briefing on the 4th, Lee Ki-il, 1st Supervisor of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (critical script), said, “The introduction (negotiation) of the vaccine is almost final. It is the amount to be vaccinated once, which is about 50 million people, which is reflected in the supplementary budget.”

Pfizer and Moderna are representative mRNA vaccines developed using the messenger ribonucleic acid containing the genetic information of the virus.

“This purchase plan also reflects the age of permission,” said the controller.

He also added, "Out of the 52 million people, excluding children under the age of 6, excluding school-age, there are about 50 million."
