While the Corona 19 'delta mutation virus' is prevalent around the world, the delta plus mutation derived from the delta mutation was first confirmed in Korea.

The quarantine authorities said that two confirmed cases of Corona 19 'Delta Plus mutant virus' were confirmed in Korea.

One of them is a man in his 40s who has never traveled abroad. As a result of testing contacts such as family and co-workers, it is known that there are no additional infections other than one family member living together.

This family member is believed to have been infected with the delta plus mutation, but no test results have been released.

Another infected person was a person who arrived from abroad, the quarantine authorities explained.

The delta plus mutation is a virus derived from the 'delta mutation' originating in India, which is leading the global COVID-19 epidemic, and is known to have stronger contagious power than the delta mutation.
