To prevent the spread of Corona 19, starting today (30th), you need to go through the visitor verification procedures such as QR code and safe call check-in just by entering the door of department stores and large marts.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (Corporate Headquarters) confirmed the 'Measures to Strengthen the Management of Access Lists for Large-scale Stores such as Department Stores' at a meeting on the 27th and started implementation today.

Target facilities are large-scale stores such as department stores and large marts larger than 3,000 square meters (about 909 pyeong) according to the Distribution Industry Development Act, which is highly likely to spread on a large scale when a group infection occurs.

Semi-large stores such as local supermarkets and traditional markets are excluded from the application.

Until yesterday, the entry list of large retail stores was managed separately by 'inside individual store entrances' and 'store entrances'.

Although individual stores such as restaurants, cafes, and sports facilities in the store managed the access list, the store itself had a lot of floating population and entrances, which made it difficult in reality.

However, as group infections in department stores and other establishments have recently been successive, the need to strengthen the management of access lists for the purpose of epidemiological investigations has been strongly raised.

According to the case of safety call operation in Goyang City and the trial application of the entry list preparation at the Hyundai Department Store Trade Center branch in Seoul, there was a waiting phenomenon for customers at some times, but there was no major problem overall.

The new rules that come into effect today will apply from level 3 or higher of social distancing.

Currently, level 4 is applied to the metropolitan area and level 3 or higher is applied to all regions except 36 cities and counties in non-metropolitan areas.

The central library and the distribution industry plan to minimize the crowding environment caused by waiting lines by making the entry and exit lists in parallel with QR codes, safe calls, and handwritten lists.
