Recently in an online community, a video of a restaurant washing radishes in water with their feet in it was released, causing outrage.



In this regard, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced that it identified the restaurant in the video through digital forensic and conducted an on-site inspection yesterday (27th).



As a result of the on-site inspection by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the restaurant was confirmed to be a Jokbal restaurant in Seocho-gu, Seoul.



The video was filmed around the end of June, and the person washing the radishes while soaking their feet in the video was confirmed to be a cook at a restaurant.



According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, it has been confirmed that this employee has not been to work since the 25th.



In addition, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety explained that this restaurant stored expired sauces or seasonings for cooking purposes, and did not comply with the storage standard temperature for dumplings or pork feet that should be kept frozen.



He added that overall hygiene management was insufficient, such as poor management of cooking utensils and ventilation fans.
