Even though it was just after losing, Dabin Lee (Seoul City Hall), the national Taekwondo national team, gave a thumbs up to the winner.

Dabin Lee won the silver medal after losing 7-10 to Milica Mandic (Serbia) in the women's 67kg overweight final on the last day of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics taekwondo competition.

In the semifinals, Dabin Lee advanced to the final after a dramatic 25-24 comeback victory over Bianca Walkdon (England), the bronze medalist and world number one in the Olympic rankings at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.

Dabin Lee raised a thumb to Mandić greeting after the match and smiled.

Lee Da-bin said, "It is true that it is regrettable, but I thought it was right to congratulate the player because I know that everyone worked and worked hard for this big stage."

Dabin Lee said, "If I had been a little more earnest and worked harder, I would have won the gold medal if I had more earnestness than that player. I will show a better image in the competition.”

Previously, Dabin Lee underwent surgery on her left foot ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.

Dabin Lee said, "I had surgery in January, but it was a mistake and I couldn't train until April. I rehabilitated for a month in May and trained from June to July." "When I couldn't train because of an ankle pain, I couldn't even see other players training. I would like to see it. I want to prepare quickly and win a gold medal, but I was worried because I thought the time was running out."

Lee Da-bin, who had been given the injection a day before departure from Korea, laughed, saying, "I'm still scared when I kick," and "I want to say thank you to my left foot that held up well."
