A high school student accused of speaking support for Park Young-seon candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea during the Seoul mayoral by-election in April and the camp officials who were in charge of related work were sent to the prosecution.

According to the police, the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul sent high school student A (17) and two Democratic Party officials yesterday (26th) to the prosecution on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act.

Group A is accused of making a supportive statement appealing to vote for Park candidate at the site of Candidate Park's campaign held in front of a mart in Yangcheon-gu on April 1.

At the time, group A said, "I am a sophomore in high school, born in 2004, and I do not have the right to vote, but I came here to support candidate Park. "He said.

The two Democratic camp officials sent together were election committee members who were in charge of verifying the identity of the speaker at the campaign site at the time.

The current Public Official Election Act prohibits minors under the age of 18 from campaigning.
