was very concerned about the fact that quarantine rules were not being properly followed in the east coast, where vacationers flocked to it. Let's go to Yangyang, Gangwon-do, where social distancing has been strengthened in four steps.

Reporter Jo Jae-geun, this week and next week were the most popular times for summer vacation, so I was more worried. Is there any change after raising the social distancing to Level 4?

I am at Ingu Beach, Yangyang-gun.

It is famous for surfing, so this street is usually full of cars and people along this roadside.

Last weekend, right before the 4th level of social distancing was applied, it was the place where drinking was held here and there, but today it is just so gloomy.

Listen to the merchants.

[Yang Young-soon / Restaurant owner: There were so many that I couldn't go here. But now, after the Corona 4 stage, only two people can sit. So people don't go there. No, no people.]

Due to the implementation of the 4th step of distancing, only two people can gather from 6 pm a while ago, so it seems that the number of vacationers is noticeably reduced not only in restaurants but also on the beach.

Yangyang-gun is continuing high-intensity quarantine measures, such as prohibiting access to beaches from 8:00 pm.

However, since Yangyang Bay is on the 4th level on the east coast of Gangwon, I wonder if people will flock to other nearby resorts.

Nearby Gangneung-si and Goseong-gun also prohibit access to beaches after 10 pm, but many eastern coastal beaches such as Sokcho, Donghae, and Samcheok are open at night.

There are concerns about the effect of balloons because in the area with the third stage of distancing, gatherings of four people are possible until 10 pm at the restaurant.

In fact, the city of Gangneung, which had maintained level 4 until last week, has confirmed double-digit cases for two days in a row as soon as it is eased to level 3, raising anxiety.
