There were 1,318 new confirmed cases of Corona 19 in Korea yesterday, setting a new record for the highest number of confirmed cases on Sunday, continuing the four-digit number for the 20th day in a row.
Among the new confirmed cases, 1,264 were domestic cases, excluding 54 imported cases.
By region, there were 749 confirmed cases in the metropolitan area alone, including 339 in Seoul and 343 in Gyeonggi, and 515 in non-metropolitan areas, including 83 in Busan and 75 in Gyeongnam.
The number of severe cases decreased by 13 from the previous day, and the death toll increased by 4, bringing the total to 2,77.
The number of cumulative first-time vaccine recipients is about 16.89 million, which is 32.9% of the total population.
