An apartment complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, has gone out of light.

From 8:30 last night to 5 am today (26th), the electricity supply was cut off to about 670 apartments.

The transformer broke down that night too, and it was restored in 6 hours, but again there was a power outage.

Residents slept through the night for two days, some packed their bags and went to sleep in their cars.

[Apartment resident: I can't stand it, I can't stand it, so I'm on the way down to get some rest in the car. Yesterday too, after waiting an hour and a half, I went down to the underground parking lot and stayed in the car for a while. It's been two days in a row, and I don't think it's an unbearable situation without an explanation. It's really cramped.] A

KEPCO official said, "The power outage occurred because the transformer could not withstand the surge in electricity consumption."

At the same time, the power supply was cut off for over 10 hours in 750 apartments in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.

KEPCO estimates that the power outage occurred due to a transformer failure due to power overload.

Last night around 10:30, there was a two-hour power outage in an apartment in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

[Apartment resident: I was finishing the weekend as usual, and while I was watching TV, there was a sudden power outage. It was very inconvenient, and when the power went out, everyone went out… .]

The apartment was also cut off due to an overload caused by a surge in power consumption, causing inconvenience to all 200 households.
