An impressive fire.
A trailer loaded with straw went completely up in smoke Tuesday evening in Châtenois, Alsace.
Around 9 p.m., a man allegedly set it on fire with gasoline and a lighter, reports France 3 Grand-Est.
"
He came, quietly, we would never have imagined that he could light the straw like that, for no reason,
" explained the farmer who would have been the victim of this malicious act.
According to him, the culprit would be a person from the neighboring community of Travelers, sedentary for nearly two decades.
An investigation was opened by the Sélestat gendarmerie and hearings are due to take place on Wednesday.
