Amid concerns about the durability of the corrugated cardboard bed at the Tokyo Olympic Athletes' Village, an Irish athlete is drawing attention by experimenting with it.

Irish gymnast Rhys McClenaghan posted a video on Twitter today (19th) of herself running on a cardboard bed, saying, "It looks like it's going to collapse in violent movements, but that's fake news."

Previously, the New York Post in the United States was directly confirming the irony that the corrugated cardboard beds in the athletes' village were poor, so-called 'anti-sex beds'.

According to the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee, the cardboard bed is made to be recyclable and can withstand a load of about 200 kg.

However, complaints from Olympic athletes continue to rise.

"If someone urinates in my bed, the box will get wet and fall off the bed," said Paul Cellimo of the US national track and field team on Twitter. "The night before the finals can be the worst, so I'll have to practice sleeping on the floor."
