For the first time in its history,

Xiaomi has sold more mobiles globally than Apple

, which has traditionally been the second company on the list just below Samsung, which is still the first.

With an 83% growth in its sales in 2021, Xiaomi has risen with

a market share of 17%

, surpassing the current 14% of Apple (which has only grown 1% in the same period of time) and staying tremendously close to the top spot for Samsung, which has a 19% market share (second quarter growth of 15%).

According to Canalys analysis,

phone sales worldwide have grown

by

12%

due to the improvement in the global situation after the pandemic, something that seems to have greatly benefited Xiaomi due to its good positioning in the Latin American, African and Latin American markets. Western Europe, growing up to 300% in some areas.

The reason seems clear:

the price of its mobiles is between 40% and 75% below that

of its two main competitors, Samsung and Apple, and that Xiaomi has started selling mobiles worth a thousand euros in recent months.

The battle for what mobile phone we carry in our pockets does not seem to be completely decided yet, not only because Apple and Samsung are fearsome rivals, but also because two other names out of China are fighting.

Oppo and Vivo have grown by 28% and 27% respectively

in 2021 and rise to the fourth and fifth position on the sales list.

Its strategy is similar to Xiaomi's: competent mobiles at popular prices.
