A man in his 40s was murdered in an officetel in Mapo-gu, Seoul.



The police arrested another man in his 40s as a suspect in this murder case today (15th).



According to the police, the Seoul Mapo Police Station received a report that the victim B was missing at around 8:42 am yesterday, and during the search, found suspicions that Mr. B might have been killed in an officetel and started an investigation.



The police identified suspect A through on-site closed circuit TV (CCTV).



Afterwards, he traced his movement and confirmed that Mr. A had left Seoul, and announced that he had secured a recruit from Gyeongsan, Gyeongsangbuk-do at around 9:51 am today in cooperation with the Gyeongbuk National Police Agency.



A police official explained, "We will continue to investigate suspect A, including clearly confirming the motive and circumstances of the crime.
