Among the new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 1,555 cases are domestic, excluding 45 cases imported from abroad.
There were 1,98 people from the metropolitan area, including 518 from Seoul, and 457 from non-metropolitan areas, including 86 from Gyeongnam.
Following the metropolitan area, the spread was strong in non-metropolitan areas, accounting for 30% of domestic confirmed cases.
The quarantine authorities predicted that the number of confirmed cases would increase for the time being despite the heightened distance.
