The Ministry of National Defense Prosecutor's Office changed the status of the Air Force's Chief of Justice, Jeon Ik-soo, who was designated as the head of the initial investigation in relation to the death of an Air Force sergeant who suffered sexual assault, as a suspect.



The prosecution team said, "We summoned and investigated the head of the Air Force's legal office (Director Jeon Ik-soo), who is suspected of negligent investigation, on the 9th.



It has been 42 days since the Ministry of National Defense launched a joint investigation on the 1st of last month that former chief of staff was converted into a suspect.



The prosecution also said, "During the investigation, we discovered a suspicion of leaking official secrets by an employee of the Higher Military Court and conducted additional investigations. Considering the seriousness of the matter, we have requested an arrest warrant as of today."



It is known that the employee is accused of leaking the situation of the joint investigation to the former chief.
