These are photos posted by Chuncheon citizens on an online community last weekend, and it happened when the water purification plant that supplies water in Chuncheon city was broken.
The city of Chuncheon completed restoration through emergency construction, but water supply was not smooth even after that.
It was virtually impossible to use tap water normally, such as rust or a strong smell of disinfectant even in some households where tap water was available.
Citizens complained about not being able to cook rice and not washing properly in hot weather.
Although Chuncheon City provided bottled water and water trucks through the community center, it was known that the level was insufficient for citizens to lead a normal life due to the heat wave.
Because of this, some local residents started hoarding bottled water at large marts, causing a commotion.
In response, the city of Chuncheon said it would make efforts to normalize water supply as soon as possible.
