The number rose by 63 from yesterday (1,212), the highest number in about a year and a half since January 20, last year, when the first confirmed case of Corona 19 in Korea.

In addition, the number of 1,275 is 35 more than the 1,240 on December 25, last year, which was the peak of the 'third wave' and the previous record.



Today, the route of infection of the new confirmed cases is 1227 local cases and 48 cases imported from abroad.



The number of local confirmed cases is also 12 more than the previous record of 1,215 (December 25 last year).



Until last month, the number of new confirmed cases climbed up and down a wide range of stagnant between 300 and 700, but started to surge this month and soared to 1,200, indicating that the 'fourth pandemic' is in full swing.
