Recently, a woman in her 50s who worked as a cleaning worker at Seoul National University died.

However, there is a controversy surrounding the claim that the deceased suffered from power abuse at work.

On the 26th of last month, a woman in her 50s was found dead in the lounge of a cleaning worker at Seoul National University.

The police said that they did not make an extreme choice or that there were no suspicions of crimes such as murder.

The safety management team leader, who was newly appointed last month, created a new meeting for cleaning workers and pressured them to reflect on the personnel evaluation if they did not dress neatly or brought a ballpoint pen or notebook. It is said that he insulted them by revealing their scores after taking a test that did not exist.

In addition, the dormitory building where this worker worked did not have an elevator, so 100 liter garbage bags were used to carry six or seven food waste and recycling waste from four floors directly up the stairs every day.

The union demanded a thorough investigation into the truth and preparation of countermeasures, saying, 'Seoul National University is consistently acting with an irresponsible attitude'.
