A foreigner who lured a woman he met through a dating app to his home, filmed his body and uploaded it to a paid online site, has been sentenced to imprisonment.

The 3rd part of the Supreme Court (Chief Justice Kim Jae-hyung) confirmed the lower court sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison in the appeals trial of British man A, who was charged with violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (photographing using cameras, etc.) said.

In August 2018, Mr. A was tried on charges of taking pictures of Mr. B's legs, etc., and posting it on a paid online site at his dorm in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

It was investigated that he brought a woman he met on a dating app home to shoot a video and induced exposure by hugging and kissing.

He shared the secretly filmed video on a bulletin board that only members who paid $27 a month could see.

The first trial admitted the charges of A and sentenced him to 1 year and 2 months in prison.

Before the trial, Mr. A appealed that the 263 days of detention in the Danish detention center should be excluded from the sentence, but the court did not accept it.

The court ruled, "The purpose of detention in a Danish detention center is to examine whether to extradite A to Korea," and said, "It is different from pending detention, which is excluded from the sentence under domestic law."

A's side appealed, but the Supreme Court dismissed it.
