As the spread of COVID-19 in Korea intensifies, the number of new confirmed cases today (30th) approached 800.

The Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters announced that as of 00:00 today, the number of new confirmed cases increased by 794, bringing the total to 156,961.

Yesterday (595 people) increased by 199 people, skipping the 600 people and immediately soaring to the late 700s.

The number of confirmed cases in the 700 range is the first in 25 days since the 5th (744), and the number of 794 is the highest in 68 days since April 23 (797) when the 'fourth epidemic' was in progress.

The route of infection of today's new confirmed cases is 759 locally and 35 from overseas.

The number of daily confirmed cases has remained stagnant, hovering between 300 and 600 depending on the increase or decrease in the number of tests, but since last week, cluster infections have been centered in the metropolitan area, leading to a sharp increase in patients.

From the 24th to today, the number of new confirmed cases per day in the past week is 610 → 634 → 668 → 614 → 501 → 595 → 794.

During this period, 600 people are number 4, 500 people are 2 times, and 700 people are 1 times.
