Police have launched an investigation after a former famous professional boxer was accused of sexually harassing a woman he was having a meal with.
According to the police, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is investigating a case in which a woman sued former professional boxer A for sexual assault earlier this month.
The complainant is known to claim that Mr. A reached out and touched his body sitting next to him during dinner with other acquaintances at a restaurant in Gangnam-gu on the 3rd.
It is said that Mr. A and the complainant met for the second time at a meal that day.
A, who is known as a gold medalist at the Asian Games, is known to strongly deny the allegation of sexual harassment.
The police will secure and analyze a closed circuit (CC) TV in the restaurant, and then call both Mr. A and the complainant for investigation.
