Instagram continues to improve the web version of its app.

After adding messaging to its website, the social network now wants to allow its users to post photos and videos from their PC.

To get the feature, just click on the new "+" icon in the top right corner and upload photos and videos saved to your PC or Mac, as social media consultant Matt Navarra explains. You can also drag and drop them. Users will be able to choose the format, filter, and make any changes they want. They can finally add a caption, a location and other information before sharing their snapshot.

In the test phase, the function is only available for a small number of users.

If you go to the Instagram site and the message "you can now create and share posts directly from your computer" appears, you are one of the lucky ones.

In any case, this message testifies to Instagram's desire to deploy this functionality to all of its users.

Changes for the News Feed

“We know a lot of people access Instagram from their computers,” spokesperson Christine Pai told Bloomberg.

To improve this experience, we are now testing the possibility of creating an Instagram post with their desktop browser.

In addition to this new feature under test, the social network should make changes in its news feed.

Instagram is indeed testing a new hierarchy of posts where suggested content will be mixed with posts from friends.
