The Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters announced today (28th) that it has filed a criminal case against the commander of the military police battalion of the 20th Fighter Wing, which is in charge of the initial investigation into the sexual harassment case of a female air force junior.

The investigation headquarters revealed this through a text message today and added, "We plan to summarize the results of the investigation and send all the case records to the Ministry of National Defense Prosecutor's Office by the end of today."

The investigation headquarters reported that the 20th Wing Wing Military Police Battalion Commander would be referred to the Disciplinary Committee at the Military Prosecutor's Office Investigation Deliberation Committee held on the 25th, but the committee suggested that the military police battalion commander who referred for disciplinary action should be criminally prosecuted for negligence.

Accordingly, the investigation headquarters seems to have accepted the opinion of the committee and decided to file a criminal case.

As a result, the total number of suspects related to this case has increased from 18 to 19.

Considering that the bereaved family has already filed a lawsuit against the commander of the 15th Special Mission Wing, the battalion commander and company commander of the 15th Special Mission Wing, as well as the head of the operation control office and the head of the radar maintenance team, on the 25th, it is expected to increase further.
