It has been confirmed that the police have secured a number of recordings of retaliation from the cell phones of two 20-year-old men who are accused of detaining a friend and causing their death by putting them under a 34 kg malnutrition state.

According to SBS coverage, Seoul Mapo Police Station is analyzing the digital forensics of the confiscated cell phones of two friends who were arrested on charges of confinement and murder of a 20-year-old man, A, to secure and analyze fewer than 100 recordings.

In most cases, one of the suspects turned on the auto-recording function of cell phone calls and it was delivered as saved files.

The recording file secured by the police contained the circumstances of bringing Mr. A from Daegu to Seoul and subjected to harsh acts in order to get Mr. A, who sued them, to drop the accusation.

It includes a conversation the two had had when they brought Mr. A to Seoul last March, saying, "We just need to make the complaints withdrawn (withdrawn)."

It is also known that before and after the investigation after the complaint in November of last year, he mentioned to the effect that "the police are busy and he is reluctant to do complicated things," and said, "(Police) will be investigated, but if we meet in a three-person face-to-face, we have to talk.

In fact, after Mr. A informed the police of his intention to withdraw the complaint by phone call and text message on May 3, Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station rejected the case on the 27th of the same month due to insufficient evidence.

It is also said that the recorded file contains several dialogues depicting atrocities.

I was talking about the fact that Mr. A was stunned, and Mr. A fell and injured his jaw or hit his stomach hard.

Abrasions were found on the chin of Mr. A, which was recovered on the 13th.

The police are considering using these recordings as evidence to support the retaliatory murder charge under the Special Act.

According to the Criminal Code, murder is 'death sentence, life or fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 5 years', and under the Special Act, aggravated punishment for retaliatory crimes is 'death penalty, life or fixed-term imprisonment of more than 10 years', so the punishment is heavier.

Because of this, the suspects are stating that they did not detain themselves in retaliation for being accused of injury on November 8, last year during a police investigation, and that they did not intend to kill.

Mr. A went to Daegu saying he was assaulted four times in Seoul and sued them for injury. Then, 4 months later, on March 31 this year, he went down to Daegu and brought Mr. A to Seoul.

It is said that he threatened to follow me up, saying, "Do I have to pay for my computer breakdown, or can I tell your parents?"

The police, who are in the final stage of the investigation, plan to hand them over to the prosecution on the 21st, two days later.
